Through the expansion of our outreach and the growing needs in the community, we need donations. The following are examples of how you can help:
Food to be distributed: Encourage your children to have a neighborhood food drive. This will be a great teaching tool as well as assisting those in the community that live with hunger daily. If you have extra food in your pantry or extra food in your garden you can not use, please consider donating these items.
AmpleHarvest: As members of "Ample Harvest", we search out local gardeners and individuals with fresh fruit and vegetables who will donate their extra produce.
Clothing: Clean clothing and shoes for men and women can be dropped off at any time. Please remember that your donated clothing is tax deductible.
Personal Hygiene Products: Shampoo, soap, toothpaste, and razors are essential to maintaining one's dignity as a human being. The Dollar Store sells a large selection of these essential items for $1 each. Spending $5 at The Dollar Store can buy a family shampoo, toothpaste, soap, a brush, and deoderant.
Clean Bedding: Many homeless families live in their cars, under bridges, or in the open air with no bedding. If you are not using that extra set of sheets or blankets or have bedding for a bed no longer in your house, please consider donating these to us. Your bedding will be given to a family in need.
Please Note:
We will not accept used toys and stuffed animals because they cannot be sanitized. However, we will be happy to accept any new toy or stuffed animal that is packaged.
